This is the time of the year when home humidity becomes a big topic. During the cold winter months our heating system dry the air removing the much needed moisture. What can you do to to add humidity back into the air? What tricks are there based on the type of heating system you have?
Pot of Water
I was talking with a friend yesterday and he told me that he puts a pot of water on the top of his wood stove. He says the heat from the wood stove speeds up the evaporation of the water and adds humidity back into the air. He also mentioned that he has to fill the pot quite often.
